The only reliable income is through looting and trading (auto trader mod preferred). The taxes from my fiefs don't pay for their mid sized garrison, the income from my parties typically don't cover their party wage, my caravans, even at 200+ trade full upgraded don't turn profits most days.

I have failed this one more than seems correct. My reasons tend to be: Caravan moving faster than me (especially in 1.5.4 with the speed nerf). then getting killed by "something" off screen. Or It making it to the Bandits, and me sprinting as fast as my pathetic speed allows, and them all dying right as I arrive.

U can make 200k from nothing in just couple of hours from trading.But basic tip is just run around gather trade rumours get some cheap mules and horses u dont need more then 20 troops or so to protect against basic bandits.U can profit on trading food/horses/trading goods and more,and often time profits are 200-300% so it is not that hard to
