Hello, I have a new Swift 3x (with Intel i5, SF-314-510G) and would like to charge it via a USB-C cable on a monitor (BenQ PD2705Q, offers max. 65W with 20V/3.25A). According to the specification, the notebook has Thunderbolt 4 and thus "Power Delivery" should be possible. The "Thunderbolt lightning symbol" is also present next to the socket.
USB-C charging (Swift 3) Hi, I have broken my charger or port (can't tell) and I have ordered a LiteON adapter and to my knowledge they supply acer with power adapters and internal components such as Disc drives and Solid state disks (?). Does Swift 3 support USB C charging because on the sticker on chassis of laptop says it does.
There are a total of three USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports on the unit, two USB Type-A and one USB Type-C. The latter includes support for Power Delivery and can be used as charging port.
Battle of the $350 laptops: Acer Swift 1 vs. Gateway Ryzen 3 3200U 1x USB-C (data only) 2x USB-A 3.0; 1x HDMI; 1x SD card; 1x 3.5mm audio combo jack; 1x DC barrel jack; 1x Kensington lock slot;
On the right side of the laptop, there's a traditional headphone jack and a USB-A 3.1 port. Then, the left side has an HDMI port, a USB-C Thunderbolt 4 port, a USB-A 3.1 port, and the power input. Although it's not a huge deal, it sucks that you this laptop uses a proprietary charging system instead of a USB-C charging setup. The battery could still charge before resetting via the pinhole. Then after draining the battery completely, it wouldn't charge anymore. I'm assuming this issue might be related to the BIOS settings changing from AHCI to RST with Optane after the BIOS update. My laptop is Acer Swift 3 SF314-54G-5281. If anyone could help me, it would be greatly In comparison, most of the Swift 3 models implement a 180-degree screen. The IO is pretty good here, with USB and USB-C ports, a full-size HDMI, an audio jack, and a Lock. The laptop ships with a barrel-plug charger, but can also charge via USB-C, and that USB-C port supports video as well. The left edge also hosts a USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A port and a USB-C connector with support for Thunderbolt 4, DisplayPort video output using an adapter, and power delivery. While you can use this

There are also some basic troubleshooting steps you can follow. Otherwise remove the battery completely from the laptop and try running the laptop using the AC adapter. If you can use the computer for a couple of hours without problems, the adapter is obviously okay. Clean the battery contacts. Replace the battery and try charging it again.
